Jenny Lowe

Born into a musical family, Jen studied and taught singing and played guitar for many years before falling deeply in love with the ukulele at a John Chandler workshop in 2008.

Since then Jen has explored her instrument through workshops with James Hill, Jim D’Ville, Jason Arimoto, Matt Dahlberg, Ralph Shaw, Del Rey, Michelle Kiba, and Rose Ertler.

She has performed at festivals and countless events in Australia. Her band, ‘Uke Caramba’ and duo ‘Jen & Jake’ were headline acts at the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival.

Showcasing her Aussie talent, Jen regularly attends the annual Ukulele World Congress in Indiana and performs with US bands ‘The Flea-Bitten Dawgs’ and ‘The Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra’.

She is a leading member of the famous Blue Mountains Ukulele Group (the Blue MUGS) where her contribution has been recognised with an award for Services to the Ukulele.

Jen loves people, loves music and loves to teach. She embodies the Blue MUGs philosophy of sharing the joy of music with everyone, be they beginners through to professional musicians.

A lifelong learner herself, Jen brings a wealth of experience and the latest neuroscience to her workshops which are inspiring, entertaining and fun.
